The Prius PHV is not unlike the regular Prius from the dynamic point of view, either. No surprise, really. The Prius PHV is essentially just a Prius with a lithium-nickel-metal hydride has been changed to a much more expensive, much heavier and more powerful lithium batteries. (How powerful is not clear, since Toyota is not going to tell us how much they improved capacity of 1.3 kWh regular auto). The battery change allows more miles on electricity alone and momentum proportional to fuel economy in the real world.
